Are you overwhelmed by the amount of floral dresses for spring? Me too! I am not a dress kind of gal but sometimes, for the right occasion one is necessary! Here are my top 5 dresses that aren’t just florals!
This June, my cousin is getting married and I am in desperate need of a fashion forward spring dress that preferably isn’t a groundbreaking floral pattern! Now don’t get me wrong, florals can be beautiful and if they’re done right the pattern won’t overwhelm the garment. It seems that the second March 20th rolls around everyone suddenly breaks out the florals they’ve been hiding and it can get to be a little much!
To help you out, I picked out 5 dresses that I think would be perfect for a spring special occasion like a graduation ceremony, a wedding or any soiree that might pop into your iCal!
Check out my picks below!
- This H&M Conscious sequin number is perfect for an night out! I love the ribbon detail which can be tied in a bow or simply in a knot for an undone look! The flounce hem at the bottom gives off a playful feminine vibe which goes hand-in-hand for spring.
- Rock the cold shoulder trend with this pale blue fit & flare from New Look! I love the beautiful ruffle detail, it’s not only on trend for SS17 but also so beautiful and the high neck is so ladylike! This dress would be perfect for an afternoon garden party!
- This is a floral print I can get behind! This Mango dress is refined, not overly busy even though the print is large, it still feels simple and minimal. They’ve let the print do all the talking with the rounded neckline and sleeves taking a backseat.
- This River Island canary yellow bodycon number is a beautiful option for an outdoor occasion! I love the fun frill on the shoulder and the midi length which is so trendy and ladylike!
This Ted Baker draped tunic dress is so understated but so glam at the same time. I love the shoulder detail with the bauble, it gives a simple dress a little bit of an edgy flair. The one shoulder trend is gaining more popularity so be ahead of the fashion curve at your next special occasion!
