This month I attended the beautiful wedding of my cousin Katie and new cousin-in-law Tom in Seattle and it was gorgeous! The weather was perf, food was delish and everyone was dressed to the nines! What did I wear, you ask? Well, now that you mention it, I wore a HOT PINK Ted Baker number and if you know me, you’ll say, “But Blair, you don’t wear dresses!” And I’ll say, “Think again!” Here is my June Lookbook – Wedding Edition!

As someone who used to actively avoid anything pink and girly, I think I have officially turned over a new leaf! This bright Ted Baker dress has successfully gotten me out of my rut consisting of black and grey and I couldn’t be happier! Never one to wear the tight fitting body-con dresses, I opted for a relaxed drapy 1960s era Palm Springs vibe!

To add to the glamour, I got my hair done in a top knot style by Bella at Gene Juarez Salon in Bellevue! She knew exactly what I wanted, even though I didn’t! The style stayed put all night with the help of a zillion bobby pins and some (a lot) of hairspray!

To add some contrast in colour, I went with a pair of electric blue tassel earrings from Zara. I love that they had a touch of pink that matched my dress perfectly! I even did a bit of an unexpected DIY project! Ten minutes before we left for the ceremony I decided to trim the tassels and made them about a 1/2 inch shorter! Talk about a last minute adjustment!

My shoes for the evening were also full of colour! I apparently just can’t get enough after depriving myself for ages! These platforms were super comfy so I literally danced all night and into the morning!

Zara – on sale now for $49

I felt so glam and it really was the perfect evening! Surrounded by love and all my family, it was a weekend that I’ll hold in my heart forever!
